Fuggiro Tanto Amore

SINOPSIS

Diana y Álex son dos compañeros de clase, estudiantes de música en el conservatorio. Una tarde quedan en casa de Diana para ensayar la audición de un antiguo madrigal. Álex no sabe que allí se encuentra Héctor, el novio de Diana. Su presencia inesperada pilla por sorpresa a Álex, que se muestra incómodo cuando está delante por algo que ocurrió en el pasado.

Diana and Alex are two classmates who study music at a conservatory. One afternoon they meet at Diana’s apartment to rehearse for an old madrigal’s audition. Alex does not know that Hector, Diana’s boyfriend, is going to be there. His unexpected presence takes Alex off guard, and he is uncomfortable whenever Hector is around.

NOTA DEL DIRECTOR / DIRECTOR STATEMENT

Llevo muchos meses pensando que tengo que escribir algo, unas pocas palabras, sobre el próximo rodaje que voy a dirigir. Algo tengo que decir, pues siempre se nos pide a los directores que pongamos por escrito cuáles son nuestras motivaciones al levantar una nueva película. Pero por más vueltas que le doy no encuentro una justificación elevada que pueda compartir, una motivación pura y generosa que todo el mundo pueda entender. Hacer cine es un acto egoísta; en mi caso, un modo de conocer el mundo y lo que me rodea. Hay misterios a los que no podría acceder si no es a través del cine, situaciones y vivencias que necesito capturar y volver a revivir a través de una cámara. Necesito el movimiento y filmar aquello que está oculto detrás de una mirada o de un gesto. En el cine recibo mucho, muchísimo más de lo que ofrezco. No encuentro nada más autocomplaciente que hacer cine. Me permite compartir un espacio y un tiempo con personas a las que quiero, y conocer a gente nueva a la que acabaré queriendo también.

Dentro de tres días empezaré a rodar Fuggiro Tanto Amore, y me enfrentaré por primera vez a tres misterios a los que nunca me he enfrentado directamente: la palabra, la música y el silencio. Puedo decir que soy un privilegiado, por contar con tantas personas implicadas desde hace tanto y que me ayudarán a crear este cortometraje después de casi 6 años del último. Espero estar a su altura.

I have been thinking for many months that I have to write something, a few words, about the next shoot I am going to film. Something is needed to say, because directors are always asked to put in writing which are our motivations when building a new movie. But no matter how many thoughts I give him, I do not find a high justification I can share, a pure and generous motivation that everyone can understand. Making movies is a selfish act; in my case, a way of knowing the world and what surrounds me. There are mysteries that I could not access if it is not through the cinema, situations and experiences that I need to capture and relive through a camera. I need the movement and shoot what is hidden behind a look or a gesture. In the cinema I receive a lot, a lot more than what I offer. I do not find anything more self-indulgent than making movies. It allows me to share a space and a time with people I love, and meet new people that they will be close.

In three days I will start filming “Fuggiro Tanto Amore”, and I will face for the first time three mysteries that I have never faced directly: the dialog, the music and the silence. I can say that I am privileged, because I have so many people involved for so long and that will help me to create this short film after almost 6 years of the last one. I hope to rise the challenge.
